- Do not forget to provide the Nominee for your Branch Pension Account
- Do not forget to get your revised PPO and keep it in safe custody along with your important documents.
- Do not forget to acquaint your family with all these documents.
- Do not forget to inform our Branch, change in your address and Telephone Numbers.
- Do not forget to inform our Branch in case if a reply is received from Railway Authorities or a settlement done.
- Pensioners should remember to give Life Certificate every year in November in their respective Banks.
- Joint Account of Family (Husband or Wife as the case may be ) should be opened with the concerned bank for operating their Pension account.
- Insist on the Bank to enter the Nomination submitted in the Pass Book.
- Pensioner’s Copy of PPO must be obtained either from the Bank or the DRMs of the Railways.
- Ensure that Wife ’s name, her age is prominently exhibited in the PPO.
- The inclusion of Aadhar Card No. in the PPO has become obligatory, Therefore, submit the information about Aadhar Card to DRM Office.
- Keep all the Service records, PPOs, Bank Pass Books, Family Identity Cards etc. in safe custody and information about all the documents in our possession should be given to the wife.
- Every Year increase in Dearness Allowance is sanctioned twice. This must be checked from the Bank Pass Book for the correctness of arrears received therefor.
- The validity of Pass Identity Cards has now become Lifetime instead of for certain period only.
