AIRRF PUNE- FUNCTIONING
To attend the grievances of retirees the Branch office is opened on every Tuesday and Saturday from 10.00 hrs to 12.00 hrs. and on other days also as and when necessary.
The meeting of the working committee is held every month regularly and minutes noted down which are confirmed at next meeting.
For the smooth functioning of the branch, eleven units are formed. Every unit in charge is the member of the working committee. Unit in charge is a link between the branch and members in that unit. Unit in charge maintains the personal relations and looks after the welfare of the members of his unit with the help of co-workers in his unit. For this purpose, every unit conducts gatherings and one-day outing twice a year. The gatherings are especially held in rural areas.The Railway retirees settled in these areas are ignorant about rules and regulations about pensioners’ benefits given by Govt.
PENSION ADALAT
Pension Adalats are held on Central Railway at the Headquarters and Divisional level twice in every year. Pune Branch nominates its representative to Pension Adalats held at Pune, Mumbai, Solapur, and Hubli (SCRly). This nominee helps the pensioners in representing their cases wherever needs.

ANNUAL GENERAL BODY MEETING
Elections of working committee are held once in two years. Submission of Annual Report which includes the details of the work done during the year is done in the AGM every year.
LATE DASHPUTRE SMRUTI DIN
In this gathering, members completing 75 years are felicitated. Grand-sons and daughters of the members of our Branch (Railway Retirees) obtaining good marks in 10th and 12th Stds. are awarded Cash Prize’ and Certificate. A member of our Branch who works for the benefit of the society or does any notable work is also felicitated on that day. Nowadays every year about 90 to 100 Grand Sons/Daughters are awarded.. Having Social relations of our Founder President with Ahillya Devi High School in Pune, Every year our branch gives the award to the Girl of this school who comes first in School. Moreover, The Girls of Hujurpaga School in Pune are also awarded in memory of Late Smt. Meera Karkhanis W/O Shri. V. B. Karkhanis Ex-Wkg. President of AIRRF HQ.
PENSIONER'S DAY
This day is celebrated either on 17th December or thereafter at a convenient date every year.In this meeting, our members who have completed 75 years and above 90 years are felicitated in two functions during the year. Generally every year such members are 100 to 150 in numbers.
FOUNDATION DAY OF AIRRF PUNE BRANCH
The founder of our Pune Branch was Late Shri B D Dashputre Rtd Dy S S Pune. The first meeting was taken at the residence of Late Dashputre. After Annual Convention of our federation HQ, a gathering is held on the anniversary of our branch to give the account of the Annual convention and resolutions passed therein. Moreover, our branch is celebrating the anniversary of our Foundation Day on 1st March 1987. The Pillers of Federation ( Old Workers ) are specially Felicitated on this occasion.
We celebrate all these functions in S. M Joshi Hall.The Important Dignitaries in the society like Shri Bhai Vaidya, Dr. Satish Desai, Dr. Vinod Shaha, Prof Tej Nivalikar Shri M V Basrur Chairman Rly Board Rtd, Rtd GMs and MB of Board are invited as Chief Guest to grace the above Functions.We are grateful to our Life members of Pune Branch who always donate generously and that is why Pune Branch could work so much and known as prominent Branch throughout the country.
